A person admiring something from a distance.

The hole is their eye, and above it an arm raised to shade their gaze; they are staring into the distance.

This is a very elegant little sculpture, and would be a perfect indoor centrepiece. It's interesting from every angle, and the limited number of photographs make it hard to do it justice.

'Fruit serpentine' is the local Zimbabwean name for this very colourful, slightly translucent type of serpentine stone. It comes from Kwekwe and is of a similar hardness to the black serpentine known as springstone. Each small mine has its own unique colour and texture combination, and this is a particularly lovely variety.
