The intricate pattern on the dress is all done freehand with a tungsten carbide chisel. It takes a huge amount of skill to create such detailed and delicate pieces from very hard stone.

Boet, 2010 and 2012 winner of the NAMA (National Arts Merit Awards) competition, remains miles ahead of the pack in terms of technical ability and attention to detail.
