This impressive piece was originally bought directly from Brighton in 1989 by the respected Matombo Gallery of Harare, Zimbabwe. Matombo exported it to the USA for exhibition at Mokae Gallery in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1989 and Retrospective Gallery in in Los Angeles in 1990.

It was then placed in storage until 2002, when it was purchased and exhibited by Nicole Gallery of Chicago. In 2011, it was brought to the UK by a private collector and is now for sale through Guruve.

It is in immaculate condition, having been recently professionally restored. It is signed on the base. Full Matombo paperwork accompanies the piece.

This is a lovely example of Brighton's work, encapsulating his amazingly influential cubist interpretation of the world through stone.
