I Shall Not Speak
Welded found metal objects (recyclia)
"Even if I say things about Zimbabwe, nothing will change, so I will not speak."
As an artist, Danny speaks for the people. Like them, he is frustrated daily by the fact that no-one hears his voice. Unlike many, he is prepared to risk life and limb to speak out publicly through his art. He has been unable to hold an exhibition in Zimbabwe for two years now because his work is far too political, far too critical of the régime, and he is desperate to find an overseas venue or residency where he can both have a voice and know that it is being heard.
