A little bird sitting with its feathers fluffed up.

This is a lovely little sculpture by the much missed Fanizani, whose quirky style won him fans worldwide. His sympathetic sculpting style makes even the hardest stone appear as soft as ripe fruit.

Leopard rock is the local Zimbabwean name for a particular type of serpentine stone, typically coloured black and pale green. It is very hard.
