A bird turns to preen the feathers of its back.

Locardia is one of Zimbabwe's best-known female artists, and this is a distinctive example of her work.

Opal stone is quite a soft variety of serpentine stone from Zimbabwe. It is harder than soapstone so, even though this is one of the hardest varieties of opal stone, we would recommend that this piece should be for indoor display only. It does NOT contain opals - beware of other websites whose ignorance leads them to suggest that it does.
