"The circle is the moon, and the hands reach around to hold it from above and below."

So someone is standing looking up at the moon, with their hands stretched out above them, so it looks like they are holding it.

As with all of Munyaradzi's sculptures, this piece has been sculpted from a single piece of stone and all the colour is natural.

Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is suitable for outdoor display, as it is dense and impermeable and has very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action.
