"She is in the prime of her youth, and she knows she is pretty, and she is showing off in front of the neighbourhood boys."

Nesbert's confidence as a sculptor shines through in this piece, with its Picasso-esque lines. It also speaks of Zimbabwean art history as Nesbert's uncle, the hugely respected Nicholas Mukomberanwa, actually met Picasso in Paris in the early 1970s.

Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is dense and impermeable and has very few flaws.
