Nesbert makes a welcome return to our collection this year after a few years off. In that time, his art has developed in a very interesting abstract direction, and these new pieces, with their utter simplicity and clean lines, are very exciting. Lovely!

Springstone is the local Zimbabwean name for a very hard variety of serpentine stone. It is a particularly good sculpture medium, as it has a very even internal structure of small grains of rock; it is dense and has very few flaws. The green lines are veins in the stone.
