"Two birds playing together."

Nesbert has recently returned to our collection after a few years off. In that time, his art has developed in a very interesting abstract direction, and these new pieces, with their utter simplicity and clean lines, are very exciting. Lovely!

The shiny black surface has been sanded, waxed and polished; the white surface has been sanded only. The contrast is highlighted by the sharp edge between the two finishes.

Springstone is the local Zimbabwean name for a very hard variety of serpentine stone.

Springstone is suitable for outdoor display as it is frost-resistant - it is dense and impermeable and has very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action.
