Sculptures like Peter's are examples of the very best of contemporary Zimbabwean sculpture - expressing complex ideas in a pared-down unfussy flowing form that is universally accessible.

Springstone is the local name for a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is dense, non-porous and has very few flaws.
