"A pair of elephants, moving together and conversing. They move through the bush like they are dancing together, swaying."

They have left the group to be together and they take care of each other, like a loving couple. From each side, there's the circle of the eyes and a trunk going down.

Sculptures like this are examples of the very best of contemporary Zimbabwean sculpture.

Springstone is the local name for a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is suitable for outdoor display, as it is dense and impermeable and has very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action. The brown lines are veins in the stone.
