Two elegant storks with long graceful bills enjoy each other's company.

For such large birds, black storks are surprisingly shy and are rarely seen by themselves, much more often in groups.

A super example of Richard's instantly recognisable style. The long lines have been made with a grinder.

Springstone is the local name for a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is a particularly good sculpture medium, as it has a very even internal structure of small grains of rock; it is dense and has very few flaws. It is the favoured medium for Zimbabwe's most famous sculptors.
