The front of the sculpture shows two birds, and there is another at the back so it's a whole family circling around. The inner space is the family, it's protected by the outer stone. The round hole represents good eyesight, like a hawk, so this is a family of birds of prey.

Tanya's distinctive style, reminiscent of Hepworth and Moore, marks him out as one of Zimbabwe's finest young sculptors.

This is a real 360° sculpture and the limited number of photographs make it hard to do it justice. More photos are available on request.

Springstone is a hard type of serpentine stone.
