The two uprights twisting around each other are the mother and father. They are protecting their firstborn child, represented by the ring at the top.

A new experimental style for Tonderai where he has highlighted the movement within the sculpture by giving the edge of the piece a contrasting white outline. As with all our sculptures, this piece has been carved by hand from a single piece of raw stone.

Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is suitable for outdoor display, as it is dense and impermeable and has very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action. The greenish lines are veins in the stone.
