Sculptures on display included works by:

  • the massively talented Munyaradzi Jeche who just goes from strength to strength and who has a reasonable claim to being Zimbabwe's best young sculptor;
  • perennial favourite Peter Gwisa, one of our most popular artists in 2014;
  • Tanyanyiwa Nyandoro, a hugely talented young artist whose work is reminiscent of Barbara Hepworth;
  • Sylvester Mubayi world-famous Zimbabwean sculptor; and
  • Rufaro Murenza 2015 winner of the sculpture category of the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) competition

We also exhibited sculptures by some of the most famous names in Shona Sculpture on behalf of third party sellers:

Hopleys is a family-run nursery with a 5-acre planted garden. They have an excellent reputation in the plants world, having exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for many years. We will be transforming the wonderful gardens at Hopleys into a sculpture garden for our annual art exhibition.

There is also the wonderful Hopleys Café with healthy lunches, picnics and cakes and cream teas available.

Much Hadham is one of the prettiest villages in Hertfordshire. About a mile away is Perry Green, where Henry Moore lived and worked and where the Henry Moore Foundation is now based. Why not include a visit, and make your day out a 'sculpture day'?
(Please note you may need to make an appointment to visit the HMF.)

Also nearby is the highly recommended Gibberd sculpture garden in Harlow.
