These artists have been investigating the role and position of women in contemporary African society, so it makes great sense to bring them together and look at how different cultures on opposite sides of the continent are responding to the rapidly changing times in Africa. No Guruve exhibition would be complete without a carefully chosen selection of Shona sculpture from Zimbabwe, so we will include some super new pieces by some of the most famous names in this famous art movement alongside leading names of the younger generation.
