"People of the same mind spend lots of time together, doing the same things."

The upper half of the sculpture is a bird, with its head curving downwards; its beak meets the beak of another bird in lower half. Many species of bird are caring parents and long-term partners with elaborate courtship rituals - here Antony uses them to symbolise how like-minded people are drawn to each other.

Antony's work is always very abstract; he excels at expressing quite complex ideas through three-dimensional space with confident use of line and smooth surfaces and negative space (i.e. removing the stone altogether). All his pieces are beautifully finished and are very satisfying to touch.
