Why Worry?
Brighton Sango

1988

Serpentine

52cm (h)
17cm (w)
21cm (d)

20kg

£2,000

A wonderful example of Brighton Sango's work. Pieces by Brighton do not come onto the secondary market very often, but there are two in this collection (one is now sold), so this is a very special opportunity for a collector to own a piece of African art history.

Brighton was a hugely influential artist whose extremely abstract sculpture changed the course of the Shona sculpture movement for ever.

This piece is part of a private collection being offered for sale exclusively through Guruve Ltd. It comes with certificates of authenticity and full provenance tracing the path from artist through gallery/exhibitions to the current owner. It is an absolutely genuine artwork by this great name in Shona sculpture.
