This sculpture is a wonderful example of Edronce's trademark style of geometric patterning. The designs are typical of the royal household, and served to separate the senior family of royal household from minor houses. The sable is a national symbol of Zimbabwe, but is very rarely seen now as it is very shy and numbers have declined.
