Bridegroom
Edward Chiwawa Springstone 113cm (h) 51cm (w) 18cm (d) 113.5kg £ 8,225 "He wears flowers round his neck, waiting for the bride. When the bride arrives, he takes off the flowers and puts them over her neck." This sculpture is a museum-quality example of Edward's work, in the hardest type of springstone. A larger piece like this stands proud at one of the entrances to the Chapungu Sculpture centre in Harare and is part of the private collection. This piece is a (slightly!) more practical size and is a true collector's gem. Character, strength, power, charm - it's got it all. Wonderful. |
