Rising Sun Head
Edward Chiwawa Cobalt Stone 32cm (h) 33cm (w) 7cm (d) 16kg SOLD "When the sun comes up, everyone comes out looking for the sun, even if they're sad. It guides us through the day." This is a lovely example of work by one of Zimbabwe's few remaining 'first-generation' sculptors. Edward signed it on the base. Cobalt stone is the local Zimbabwean name for a particular type of serpentine stone, a mixture of purple and green in colour. |
