Edward Chiwawa

Domboshawa Opal Stone

13cm (h)
14cm (w)
13cm (d)

4.5kg

£ 195

This is a lovely example of work by one of Zimbabwe's few remaining 'first-generation' sculptors.

Edward signed it on the base.

Opal stone is the local Zimbabwean name for a particular type of serpentine stone; the white version is from an area north of Harare called Domboshawa. It does not contain opals.
