Cotton Plant
Itayi Mupumha

Springstone

68cm (h)
43cm (w)
15cm (d)

35kg

SOLD

This is a very pleasing and well-balanced sculpture in Itayi's trademark style. Smooth shiny black surfaces contrast sharply with the textured white of the cotton balls.

Zimbabwe is a cotton-producer and every year the cotton board sponsors an art competition at the National Gallery.

Itayi is one of our most popular young artists. His abstract sculptures are fluid and graceful and he and his brother Onias Mupumha have a rosy future ahead.
