Fruit Serpentine

What a refreshing change to all those tedious dancing families from the roadside! Here we have a well-balanced composition of mother, father and child, all looking out in different directions and clearly getting their strength from the unity within the family.

An exceptional piece of fruit serpentine as well. Fruit serpentine is the local Zimbabwean name for a very colourful, slightly translucent type of serpentine stone. It is rare to find large pieces of fruit serpentine and this is from a new mine, because we haven't seen these colours before. Let's hope there's more where that came from!
