Jonathan is an important new addition to our stable of famous artists this year. It takes a lot to excite us these days, but we were very impressed with this sculpture of a girl sitting resting.

The composition is quietly self-contained and precisely sculpted and is just what you'd expect from a young artist who is already well-respected internationally.

Lepidolite is a semi-precious mineral of the mica group, containing lithium. For those interested in the geologists, find out more here. This stone came from Bikita, one of two sources in Zimbabwe, and is very pure as it has no white inclusions of quartz.
