Jonathan is an important new addition to our stable of famous artists this year. It takes a lot to excite us these days, but Jonathan's technical skill and compositions impressed us greatly.

This boy is wrapped snugly in a blanket to protect against the cold. You may be surprised to hear this, but Harare is on a high plateau, and winter nights can be frosty!

Cobalt stone is the local Zimbabwean name given to this predominantly purple type of serpentine. It does not, as far as we know, contain any cobalt but it may originally have been found near a cobalt mine. This is an unusual and beautiful type of deep burgundy serpentine, speckled with glittering crystals of mica.
