Newman Chikuni

Lepidolite

42cm (h)
26cm (w)
22cm (d)

36kg

£695

This piece is on loan to an exhibition at Exbury Gardens until July.

This is an outstanding piece of Newman's work, in a very hard semi-precious stone. It has all the elements so typical of a "Chikuni", the understated power, compact structure and amusing bottom!

Lepidolite is a mineral of the mica group, containing lithium. For the geologists among you, find out more here. This stone came from Bikita, one of two sources in Zimbabwe.
