Nichodimus Mutasa

Nichodimus was born in 1970 in Rusape, Zimbabwe. He is part of the family of prestigious world-famous sculptors that includes Joe Mutasa, Gregory Mutasa and Guy Mutasa.

Soon after O-Levels, Nichodimus was introduced to stone sculpture by Joe Mutasa. They worked together at the Chapungu sculpture community in Harare.

While at Chapungu, Nichodimus' work proved popular and was shown in various Zimbabwean galleries including the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Stone Heritage Gallery and Springstone Gallery.

He also participated in a granite-sculpting workshop under the guidance of a Chinese sculptor, Mr Asaga, at Chapungu.

Nichodimus is now working on his own in the city of Chitungwiza near Harare. His international customers come from Belgium, United States and many other countries, including the UK.
