Flaming Leaves
Onias Mupumha

Springstone

151cm (h)
40cm (w)
22cm (d)

SOLD

A pair of leaves twist and dance in wind like flames licked by the breeze.

This is a pleasingly simple sculpture, inspired by nature. The swooping lines and smooth surfaces are clean and organic.

This is by our most popular young artist Onias Mupumha, who won the 2008 NAMA (National Arts Merit Awards) prize for the best sculptor in Zimbabwe.

Springstone is a hard variant of serpentine stone. It is an excellent sculpture medium, as it has a dense internal structure with very few flaws.

Springstone is frost-resistant and is suitable for outdoor display.
