Dancing Flames
Peter Gwisa

Springstone

126cm (h)
26cm (w)
19cm (d)

SOLD

The flames dance and twirl up into the sky.

Peter's work is both complicated and very simple. He manages to convey a twisting, twirling movement while keeping the finishing very clean. The result is intriguing sculpture combined with great technical ability.

Springstone is the local name for a hard variant of serpentine stone. It is a particularly good sculpture medium, as it has a very even internal structure of small grains of rock; it is dense and has very few flaws. It is frost-resistant and is suitable for outdoor display.
