This type of serpentine is softer and more porous than, for example, springstone. We do not think it is suitable for display outdoors over the winter months.

The unwaxed pale surface is very easy to light dramatically; we suggest a dark richly-coloured background with a soft spotlight angled to pick out the contours of the face.

The edges of this particular piece of stone have a beautiful pink colouration.
