"I was thinking of a place where I can sit and forget about the troubles of the world. I forget about the pressures and block out everything around me."

Tago is an incurable romantic who explores human relationships using his trademark storks as symbols.

In Zimbabwe, where there is so often drought, rain really is a blessing. The black stork, a seasonal visitor that arrives at the start of the rainy season, is traditionally a symbol of good luck.

This is mainly a very organic abstract work, as Tago's confidence as a sculptor shines through in his curvaceous surfaces that feel like they have been eroded by ages of wind or water; then suddenly you see the stork's head and the piece is transformed into a graceful bird.
