There is a very pleasing upward swirling movement to this interesting abstract sculpture by one of our best young sculptors, Tanyanyiwa Nyandoro. You can sense the hopes of a young adult starting out in life (Tanya recently became a father) and the family unit he hopes to build.

This is a real 360° sculpture and the limited number of photographs make it hard to do it justice.

Tanyanyiwa won the Bernard Matemera Foundation 'Artist Of The Year' prize in 2009. His piece was judged to be the most original, and that Tanya was uninfluenced by others around him, which is very hard to achieve.
