Gymnastic
Washington Matafi

'Opal' Stone

25cm (h)
38cm (w)
30cm (d)

£395

The lines of the sculpture follow the movement of a gymnast as they tumble through the air.

Washington was one of four finalists in the sculpture category in the prestigious National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) 2009.

Opal stone is a kind of serpentine. It is softer than springstone and so, even though this is one of the hardest varieties of opal stone, we would recommend bringing this piece inside during cold weather if you choose to put it outdoors.
