Charles Nkomo

Painter

Charles participated in an international artists’ workshop in South Africa, with artists from various African countries and also from the USA.

This work was inspired by his conversations with a female artist from Kenya, who told him about the proud and colourful Maasai people.

The figure on the left is a woman, wearing a vibrant beaded necklace; the male figure, her husband, is on the right.

Charles is best-known for his vivid, vibrant paintings that bring contemporary Africa to life.

Originally from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Charles now lives and works in Johannesburg, South Africa, and he is shown by a number of galleries in South Africa, Zimbabwe and USA.

This painting is not framed, and Charles has painted the edges, leaving you free to choose if you want to frame it or not.
