“Children always enjoy playing under the shade of the trees, they find it enjoyable and refreshing.”

Edward’s father was a herbalist, a medicine man. Many of Edward’s sculptures incorporate plants and animals, and man’s closeness to nature.

This unusual yellowy-green stone is a hard variety of serpentine that was a particular favourite of Brighton Sango‘s. It comes from the hills of the Great Dyke geological formation near the town of Guruve in northern Zimbabwe. The black lines are natural veins in the stone; they are not cracks or lines of weakness.

This sculpture is in the UK and will be shipped from there; P&P at buyer’s expense. Edward has signed it on the base.
