Zizi Zizi (Silent Owl)

Guruve Opal Stone (Serpentine)

A clever play on words (in Shona, zizi pronounced zee-zee means silent and zizi pronounced zi-zi means owl) and a very strong sculpture with real presence.

A super piece for collectors of owl sculptures!

Ephraim has signed it on the base.

This mottled green stone is a variety of serpentine from the Guruve area. It’s much harder than the paler green stone known as ‘common opal’.
