This lovely example of Henry Munyaradzi‘s work is being advertised for sale on behalf of a private collector.
The current owner acquired this piece at auction. It came from a private collection but unfortunately there is no accompanying paperwork apart from an authentication certificate from Guruve.
Guruve have professionally restored this sculpture so it is now in immaculate condition. We can provide photos of its pre-restoration condition, which was poor and commensurate with its age. We would estimate that it dates to the late-1980s/early-1990s.
Henry has signed the piece on the base. In fact, it appears he has signed it twice, where the second signature amends an initial mistake. We can provide a photo of the base.
Guruve are happy that this piece is a genuine ‘Henry’, despite its lost history and unusual signature which are reflected in the price.
This piece is in the UK and Guruve will ship it from there;
P&P is at buyer’s expense.
