The flower (the swirly circle) and the two leaves are leaning in towards the centre. They are leaning on the other for support.

A person leans on their friends, and their friends support them.

Itayi’s recent work has concentrated on wrapping his fluid organic forms around each other to create a truly three-dimensional sculpture, and this lovely flowing piece is a great example.

‘Lemon Opal Stone’ is the local Zimbabwean name for a translucent grass green serpentine stone. It is becoming less common as the mine is running out, which is a shame. It does NOT contain opals, sorry!
