Itayi’s recent work has concentrated on wrapping his fluid organic forms around each other to create a truly three-dimensional sculpture, and this lovely flowing piece is a great example.
‘Lemon Opal Stone’ is the local Zimbabwean name for a translucent grass green serpentine stone. It is becoming less common as the mine is running out, which is a shame. It does NOT contain opals, sorry!
