This artwork is being sold through Guruve by a private collector, who acquired it directly from the artist.
This is a painting of ‘goat corner’ (Mbudzi Corner), a roundabout on the outskirts of Harare where there are many people selling goats, which has become a local landmark.
“Goats are now very expensive – but then everything in Zimbabwe is now expensive.”
The people in the painting who are buying the goats are rich, they can afford these luxuries that used to be within the grasp of nearly everyone, while the poor look on in tattered clothes.
This painting is in the UK and will be shipped from there; P&P at buyer’s expense. It is currently unstretched for easier (and cheaper) freight, but can be stretched at the buyer’s request.
