The elephant’s ear sticks out at the top; the sweeping curve is its trunk and two holes are its eyes.

A stylised abstract form of an elephant’s head – and a very elegant medium-sized sculpture by one of Zimbabwe’s best young abstract artists. Munyaradzi’s sculptures encapsulate the simplicity and grace of modern Zimbabwean sculpture.

This is a truly 360° sculpture and it would make a great centrepiece.

This lovely colourful variety of serpentine stone is a particularly good sculpture medium, as it is dense and has very few flaws. Therefore, it’s the perfect medium for Munyaradzi’s technically challenging style.
