Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is has a uniform internal structure with very few flaws. This makes is a perfect medium for more technically challenging sculpture, where the sculptor removes parts of the stone. All colouration and texture within the stone is entirely natural, merely enhanced by the application of a coat of clear wax.
