A bonded pair who perform a special dance to express their joy at being together.

A delightful sculpture reminding us that it is common in the bird kingdom for pairs to form lifelong partnerships, and they perform graceful dances together to reinforce their relationship.

So simple but powerful, the best of contemporary Zimbabwean sculpture holds its own on an international stage. Nesbert’s minimalist style, with its utter simplicity and clean confident lines, has made him one of Guruve’ most popular artists and this lovely sculpture is another tremendous example.

Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is has a uniform internal structure with very few flaws. This makes is a perfect medium for more technically challenging sculpture, where the sculptor removes parts of the stone. All colouration and texture within the stone is entirely natural, merely enhanced by the application of a coat of clear wax.
