Nesbert continues to experiment and invent. Here he slices into the stone to play with contrast between the solid stone and its absence, creating ephemeral sculpture from the shadows cast by stone onto stone.

Springstone is a very hard variety of serpentine stone. It is a very good sculpture medium, with a dense and even internal structure.
