Leopard Rock (Serpentine)

A very elegant and beautiful lady, combining a striking pale green stone with organic stylised form.

This lovely little piece is a super example of our philosophy that you should not have to compromise on quality if you have a small budget. It would also make a great gift.

Leopard rock is a very hard type of serpentine stone. It is usually pale green with black spots – the spots that give it its name – but this pale variety from Shamva in northern Zimbabwe has much less black and the bright light green stone is very striking. All the colours in the stone are entirely natural, enhanced by the application of a coat of clear wax.

The base is made of springstone (serpentine). It is a square 10cm x 10cm and 2cm in height. The total height given above is the height for the sculpture and base combined. The sculpture is pinned and glued to the base.
