“Two birds performing a dance together.”

A delightfully elegant sculpture of two birds as they lift their heads upwards, beaks pointing into the air. They perform a courtship dance, echoing each other’s movements, to reinforce their pair-bond.

Nesbert captures the essence of a bird, with clean elegant lines and uncluttered simplicity. He imbues the stone with a sinuous sensuality, suggesting the birds’ graceful movement.

This fabulous piece is the tallest work we have from Nesbert this year. It is visually striking from every angle, with strong confident lines and distinctive silhouette. It would make a superb garden centrepiece or focal point.

Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone.  It is dense and impermeable with very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action, and is suitable for outdoor display in any climate. The veins in the stone are natural, they are not cracks or lines of weakness.

We have drilled into the base of this piece, as we do for most of our larger sculptures. We can also supply a suitable pin.

Note to potential buyers: if you wish, we can wax over the signature before shipping to make it less intrusive. The chisel marks would be visible, but black rather than white.
