A lovely elegant abstract sculpture of a resting bird. It has turned its head towards its tail, to tuck it under its wing while it sleeps.

So simple but powerful, the best of contemporary Zimbabwean sculpture holds its own on an international stage.

Nesbert is one of Guruve’s most popular artists and his confidence as a sculptor shines through in this accomplished sculpture, with its elegant curves and simple form.

A small sculpture by Nesbert, such as this, is an original work of art at a very affordable price. It is signed by the artist.

In addition, we also supply a certificate of authenticity, a copy of Nesbert’s biography and a photograph of him with this very piece. Therefore, it would also make a lovely gift.

This variety of serpentine stone, known as springstone, is a perfect sculpture medium. It is dense and hard, with small grains and very few flaws. This is especially so for technically challenging works such as this, where the artist removes much of the stone and leaves a delicate shape.

We do not feel comfortable shipping this sculpture as it could suffer irreparable damage in transit, despite our high quality crating and packing. If we do ship for you, expect us to quote for an over-sized crate.

It would be highly preferable if you are able to collect in person or have us deliver (we are on the Herts/Essex border just north of London). Feel free to contact us and discuss.
