Busy Watching

Leopard Rock (Serpentine)

A lovely little sculpture of bird leaning forward. It is watching something intensely – probably some unfortunate insect!

Nesbert has captured the essence of a bird in a few simple lines. Unsurprisingly, he is one of Guruve’s most popular artists.

It is really important to us that our smaller pieces are the same quality as our larger pieces, so customers with a smaller budget do not have to compromise. This piece is excellent value for money: an original work of art at a very affordable price. It’s a great entry-level piece for a budding collector. Equally, it would also make a lovely gift.

As with all Guruve’s pieces, it is signed by the artist. In addition, we also supply a certificate of authenticity, a copy of Nesbert’s biography and a photograph of him with this very piece.

Plus, what a gorgeous piece of stone! It’s a hard variety of ‘leopard rock’ serpentine from northern Zimbabwe. All the colour and patterns within the stone are entirely natural, enhanced by the application of a coat of clear wax.
