Preening Feathers

The bird arches its long neck to preen its wing feathers.

Peter has wisely chosen to finish this lovely piece as simply as possible. Then we can enjoy the beauty of the whole work, rather than being distracted by contrasting textures.

It would be perfect as a focal point for a small garden, or next to a pond perhaps, as it looks elegant from all angles.

Springstone is the local name for a very hard variety of serpentine stone. It is suitable for outdoor display, as it is dense and impermeable and has very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action.

[Please note that the granite slab in photo is not included. However, we do have some circular slabs in sparkly black or pale grey available for sale – please enquire if you’re interested.]
